Garry the Pub Owner

Meet Garry, a 42-year-old pub owner and heavy drinker created for this character design project. For this transformation, I created two cheek flat pieces and a closed mould prosthetic to age my model by approximately 20 years, enhancing the appearance of tired and weathered skin. To complete the character, I also designed and created a re-fronted wig, moustache and goatee to support the realism and overall visual identity of the character.
Extensive research was carried out throughout the development process, focusing on the physical effects of heavy drinking, ageing and stress on the face and skin. This research informed my sculpting, colouring and character design decisions, helping to create a more believable and realistic transformation
